MP medical interns call off strike following 50% stipend increase
Medical interns in Bhopal have ended their three-day demonstration after the Madhya Pradesh administration declared a 50% increase in their monthly stipend, bringing it to approximately ₹21,000. The interns had originally sought a monthly payment of ₹30,000. Additionally, the state government has suspended two police officers from duty due to accusations that they used lathis and water cannons against the interns while they were marching toward the residence of CM Mohan Yadav.
