MP is first state to reform Waqf Board under new law, adds 2 Hindu members
Madhya Pradesh has officially become the first state to reorganize its Waqf Board in accordance with the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025, per an order from Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. This marks the first time a state-level Waqf Board has incorporated two Hindu members, Manoj Malpani and Animesh Bhargava, as part of the new 10-member panel. Additionally, Sanwar Patel has been named the chairman of the board.
