Moshi waste facility collapse: Project manager taken into custody
The Pimpri-Chinchwad Police have apprehended Ashok Gupta, the project head at Antony Lara Enviro Solutions, following the fatal collapse at the Moshi garbage depot on July 8 that resulted in the deaths of nine employees. Authorities have also filed an FIR against safety officer Vijay Sapkal, who is slated for arrest once he finishes medical treatment. The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has accused the firm of neglecting safety protocols despite the dangers posed by intense rainfall, and a government-appointed committee is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
