More than 60% of India's leading angel investors are startup founders

Data from Tracxn covering the period between 2021 and July 20, 2026, reveals that startup founders make up more than 60% of the 30 most active angel investors in India. CRED's Kunal Shah holds the top spot, having invested in 190 different startups. He is followed by Snapdeal co-founders Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal, who have participated in 138 and 122 deals, respectively. Additionally, Anupam Mittal, the founder of Shaadi.com, has provided backing to 109 startups.
