Mohanlal registers ivory items under wildlife amnesty scheme
Malayalam film star Mohanlal has officially declared 13 ivory statues and 10 elephant tusks through the Kerala wildlife department's one-time amnesty program, despite an ongoing court case regarding the items. According to forest department officials, the 46-kilogram collection, which the actor states was either gifted to him or inherited, is set to be verified through DNA analysis. The legal matter originated from the discovery of these tusks during an Income Tax department search in 2011.
