Ministry clarifies after video captures water leaking at Chandigarh railway station
The Ministry of Railways has responded to a viral video showing rainwater dripping onto a platform at the Chandigarh railway station, which is currently undergoing upgrades. Officials described the incident as a "construction-stage phenomenon," noting that the station is being redeveloped at a cost of ₹436 crore while continuing to serve passengers. The ministry stated that work on permanent drainage systems at the concourse ends is currently underway and mentioned that tarpaulins were put in place as a temporary measure.
