Millions in Tesla Batteries Stolen from Company Facilities
According to sheriff's records reviewed by WIRED, trailers loaded with Tesla's vehicle and residential batteries, valued at millions of dollars, have been taken 11 times since December of last year. These incidents reportedly happened directly from the loading docks at the company's U.S. facilities. Criminals are said to have exploited weaknesses in security procedures and used false identification to carry out these thefts.
