Tewolde Gebremariam has been named the new CEO of Air India. With a career spanning over 37 years in aviation, the veteran executive previously headed Ethiopian Airlines for more than ten years, where he successfully turned it into the most profitable airline in Africa. Earlier in July, he was a candidate to head Pakistan International Airlines, but that move did not go through as he was still awaiting necessary security approvals from the government.
