Meet Sarvesh Kushare: The athlete who secured India's first CWG silver in men's high jump
Sarvesh Kushare, who made history as the first Indian to clinch a silver medal in the men's high jump at the Commonwealth Games, hails from the Nashik district of Maharashtra, where he was born in 1995. The 31-year-old athlete began competing in the sport while in school and later enlisted in the Indian Army as a Naib Subedar in 2016. His career highlights include a gold medal at the 2019 South Asian Games and a silver medal at the 2023 Asian Athletics Championships.
