Meena Kumari starrer 'Pakeezah' to be screened in 4K at London and France film festivals
A restored 4K edition of the 1972 classic 'Pakeezah', featuring Meena Kumari, is set to debut at the BFI London Film Festival and France's Festival Lumiere. The Film Heritage Foundation (FHF), a non-profit group, handled the restoration process. Shivendra Singh, the director of FHF, noted that he worked closely with the children of the film's director, Kamal Amrohi, during the project because the original camera negative had nearly disintegrated.
