Manipur students rally for NRC implementation ahead of census
A large group of students marched through Imphal, Manipur, to push for the National Register of Citizens (NRC) to be put in place before the state's census begins. The student branch of the 'Campaign for Just and Fair Delimitation (JFD)' has declared a two-day general strike starting this Monday. Previously, former Chief Minister Biren Singh had brought this same request to the attention of Home Minister Amit Shah.
