Two Assam Rifles personnel lost their lives and multiple others sustained injuries following a militant ambush on their convoy in Manipur's Ukhrul district this Monday. The attack occurred near the Nungshang Khong region at approximately 1:30 pm as the 40 Assam Rifles unit was traveling through the area. Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh denounced the assault and expressed his sympathies to the families of the fallen soldiers.
