Chirag Kothari stated that the insurer argued his condition did not warrant hospital admission. Kothari quoted the firm as saying, "Your platelets are still 1 lakh. It’s not a serious condition until it’s less than 70,000." Expressing his frustration, he questioned, "Are we fools that we give you this much money?"
