Man ends life on video call; pregnant wife consumes acid
A 32-year-old resident of Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh, took his own life in Bengaluru while on a video call with his spouse, according to police. The man, identified as Rohit Verma, hanged himself during the live broadcast amid ongoing domestic issues. Following the incident, his wife Nandini, who is four months pregnant, was left devastated and ingested toilet cleaner. She has since been hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
