Mahua Moitra criticizes 'jungle law' following police encounter of Baruipur rape-murder suspect

Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has criticized the BJP after police killed a primary suspect in the rape and murder of an 11-year-old girl in Baruipur, West Bengal. Taking to X, she wrote, "Bengalis, please welcome new Bengal - Uttar Pradesh 2.0, BJP in Bengal is no government. This is jungle law." Prior to this police action, a mob had lynched another individual involved in the case.
