Maharashtra: Villagers use door as stretcher to help pregnant woman reach hospital during floods
Residents of a village in Palghar, Maharashtra, converted a door into an emergency stretcher to transport a woman in labour to the hospital after rising floodwaters blocked ambulance routes. With the help of ASHA worker Divya Gharat and social worker Chetan Gawad, locals waded through water reaching their chests to get the woman to medical care. She successfully gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
