Maharashtra to receive 28,317 crore litres of water via Narmada Project
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced that Maharashtra is set to get 10 TMC (thousand million cubic feet), equivalent to nearly 28,317 crore litres, of water through the Narmada Project. This allocation includes five TMC from the Narmada-Tapi diversion and another five TMC from the Ukai Project, which will provide relief to the North Maharashtra and Nandurbar regions. Following discussions with the Chief Ministers of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat, Fadnavis remarked that a two-decade-old dispute has finally been settled.
