Maharashtra resident doctors end strike following High Court directive
The Maharashtra State Association of Resident Doctors (Central MARD) ended their indefinite statewide protest on Thursday, complying with orders from the Bombay High Court. The doctors had originally gone on strike to oppose a policy that permits homoeopathic practitioners to prescribe allopathic medicine after completing a bridge course. Following the court's intervention, resident doctors have returned to their regular duties at all government hospitals throughout the state.
