Maharashtra FDA uncovers scam involving tampered expiry dates on Maggi, Lay's, and Kurkure
A food labelling scam was exposed by the Maharashtra FDA in Navi Mumbai under the supervision of Tukaram Mundhe. Officials confiscated 4,942 cartons of food items valued at ₹75.21 lakh. The operation involved changing manufacturing and expiry dates on products before repackaging them for export. The seized inventory included various items from brands such as Lay's, Kurkure, Maggi, Knorr, Thums Up, and Limca.
