Maharashtra FDA suspends licences of K Rustom in Mumbai and Shree Heera Sweets in Nagpur
The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has revoked the food operating licence for the well-known Mumbai ice-cream shop, K Rustom. This action followed the discovery of live rats, houseflies, and products past their expiry dates on the premises. The establishment, which opened in 1953, is widely recognized for its signature ice-cream sandwiches. Additionally, authorities suspended the licence of Shree Heera Sweets, located in the Pachpaoli area of Nagpur, after a dead rat was discovered in the vicinity of where food is prepared.
