Maharashtra FDA halts food licences for five top Mumbai clubs

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration has revoked the food business permits for catering services at five prominent Mumbai clubs due to major lapses in hygiene and safety standards. The affected venues are the Cricket Club of India (CCI), Willingdon Sports Club, MIG Cricket Club, RK Juhu Gymkhana, and Aparna Juhu Gymkhana. During inspections at the 93-year-old CCI, officials discovered several issues, including the presence of flies and cockroaches, along with spoiled vegetables and food products that had passed their expiration dates.
