Maharashtra farmer makes ₹25 lakh per acre by exporting drumsticks to Dubai

After facing financial setbacks with pomegranate cultivation, Sandip Kadam turned to drumstick farming in the arid region of Sangola, Maharashtra. He started as a trial in 2010 with just 40 plants. Currently, he manages 7,000 drumstick trees across 10 acres, with every tree producing roughly 60 kg of produce each year. By selling his harvest to wholesalers in both domestic markets and Dubai for an average price of ₹60 per kg, he generates an annual income of ₹25 lakh per acre.
