Maharashtra CM sets up task force as Chakan firms threaten to relocate over poor infrastructure
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has ordered the creation of a high-level panel to resolve grievances raised by businesses in Pune's Chakan industrial belt. The move follows warnings from several companies that they might shift operations to Khandala because of the deteriorating condition of roads and persistent potholes. These issues have put approximately 4,000 jobs and ₹1,000 crore in business investments at risk. The newly formed committee is tasked with overseeing road maintenance and finding solutions to ease traffic congestion in the area.
