Licences could be revoked for submitting false drug data
To enhance patient safety, the central government has implemented stricter regulations for drug approvals. According to the updated Drugs Rules, 1945, pharmaceutical companies that provide inaccurate or deceptive information now risk having their licences cancelled, their applications denied, or facing temporary bans. This initiative is designed to ensure that India's drug approval system becomes more dependable, transparent, and aligned with international benchmarks.
