Lanka Premier League co-owner and U-19 World Cup winner Manjot Kalra refused bail in match-fixing probe
A Sri Lankan court has rejected the bail plea of former India Under-19 World Cup champion Manjot Kalra in connection with a match-fixing investigation. Kalra, who serves as a co-owner of the Jaffna Kings in the Lanka Premier League, was taken into custody earlier this month alongside another Indian national, Yuvraj Pushpa. Both individuals will remain in remand until July 31. Notably, Kalra was named Player of the Match during the 2018 Under-19 World Cup final.
