Kochi Airport: Woman caught smuggling 1.78 kg gold in sanitary pad
A 28-year-old female was taken into custody at Kochi Airport in Kerala for attempting to smuggle 1.78 kg of gold concealed inside a sanitary napkin. This incident occurred just four days after her husband was apprehended at Calicut Airport. Information provided by the woman led the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) to discover additional gold valued at ₹1 crore, which was stashed in their eight-month-old infant's diaper and on the husband's person. Authorities are currently continuing their investigation into the matter.
