Kiren Rijiju shares data on protest-related deaths during Congress era
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has provided figures regarding casualties during protests that occurred while the Congress was in power. Rijiju stated that 369 individuals lost their lives throughout the 1969 Telangana Movement, while approximately 88 people were killed in police firing incidents during Gujarat's 1973–74 Nav Nirman Movement. He further noted that there were no fatalities during the recent student demonstrations concerning the NEET paper leak.
