Kiren Rijiju denies any gunfire during Delhi student protests
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has asserted that zero shots were fired at students who were demonstrating in Delhi against the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak. He remarked that the Delhi Police and local authorities deserve credit for managing a large-scale protest without any severe injuries occurring. Rijiju explained that the police resorted to a lathicharge only after the demonstrators attempted to march toward Parliament by force.
