A Moneycontrol analysis reveals that the Indo-Pacific region has become the primary market for India's defence exports in recent years. Data shows that Myanmar, the Philippines, and Vietnam were the top importers, making up 70.1% of the total between 2020 and 2025. Additionally, the report noted that exports of newer defence equipment are largely focused on South Asia, which accounted for 85.5% of missiles, 77.9% of artillery, and 90.2% of ship exports during the same five-year period.
