Several female lawmakers from Kerala staged a walkout from a workshop organized by the National Commission for Women (NCW), citing that the sessions were held primarily in Hindi. Kerala minister Bindhu Krishna explained, "We're from South India. We don't understand Hindi to that extent so we requested that they mix it with English...But nobody heard."
