Kerala records biggest MDMA bust with 12 kg seizure worth ₹10 crore
Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala announced that the recovery of more than 12 kg of MDMA in Malappuram marks the state's biggest drug seizure to date, carried out under 'Operation Toofan'. Authorities from the Malappuram police took three individuals into custody in Coimbatore and confiscated the narcotics, which have an estimated street value of ₹10 crore. According to Chennithala, a prior discovery of 97 grams of MDMA in Malappuram provided the necessary leads for investigators to track down this significantly larger shipment.
