Kerala man wins ₹1.3 lakh compensation from Air India following 9-year case
A resident of Kerala has successfully concluded a nine-year legal dispute with Air India. The case stemmed from a flight delay that resulted in the passenger missing his connecting flight to Saudi Arabia. The man stated that the airline did not provide any support, which left him with no choice but to purchase a new ticket from a different carrier for nearly ₹49,000. A consumer commission has now ordered the airline to pay him ₹1.36 lakh as compensation.
