Kerala declares holiday for educational institutions on August 7 amid heavy rains
Several districts across Kerala, such as Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thrissur, and Wayanad, have declared a holiday for schools, colleges, and other educational facilities on August 7. This decision follows an orange alert for heavy to intense rainfall issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). With many regions experiencing waterlogging, relief camps have been set up. Officials have advised the public to remain careful and adhere to all safety guidelines.
