Kerala consumer court imposes ₹22,500 penalty over failed diaper delivery

A courier firm in Kerala has been ordered to pay a ₹22,500 fine—16 times the cost of the original order—after a consumer commission ruled they provided deficient service regarding a ₹1,429 diaper purchase for a toddler. Although the package was marked as 'out for delivery' after five days, it was eventually cancelled automatically 13 days later. The commission noted that the company failed to complete the delivery even though the diapers were already available at their warehouse.
