Karnataka: Women attack officials with brooms during Bidadi township survey
A land survey for the ₹18,000-crore Bidadi Township project in Karnataka took a violent turn in Ramanagara’s Mandalahalli village as local farmers staged a protest. Women were seen hitting officials with brooms, and protesters reportedly pelted stones, damaging two government vehicles. The demonstrators demanded that the project must not move forward without the explicit consent of the landowners involved in the acquisition process.
