Karnataka villagers forced to wade through flooded stream with body
In the village of Dodda Hittala, located in Karnataka's Uttara Kannada district, residents had to transport a dead body across a swollen stream because heavy rainfall had blocked the path to the cremation site. Since there is no adequate road connecting the village to the burial ground, locals had to walk through the rising waters of the Bhaskakeri stream. This incident has sparked fresh calls for the government to provide essential infrastructure and a reliable road that can be used regardless of the weather.
