Karnataka PSC chairman suspended over illegal recruitment of his two daughters
Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot has suspended Shivashankarappa Sahukar, the Chairman of the Karnataka Public Service Commission, following accusations that he helped his two daughters secure illegal appointments as Industrial Extension Officers. Additionally, the Governor has suggested to the President of India that the issue be sent to the Supreme Court. It is alleged that one of the daughters claimed OBC reservation benefits by stating her family's yearly income was just ₹40,000.
