Karnataka Police find mother of abandoned infant girl
Using mobile tower data, the Shivamogga Police in Karnataka successfully located the mother of a newborn baby girl who had been left behind at a passenger shelter in Gavaturu. The baby girl was rescued and placed in a child care facility before eventually being brought back to her mother. According to the police, the woman reportedly abandoned the infant because she feared the social stigma of giving birth out of wedlock.
