Karnataka FDA confiscates expired food and unlicensed drugs worth over ₹1.4 cr

The Food Safety and Drugs Administration in Karnataka has confiscated expired and incorrectly labelled food items, as well as medicines kept without proper licences, valued at ₹1.43 crore. Out of the total seized items, the food products accounted for ₹1.38 crore, while the confiscated medicines were valued at ₹4.02 lakh. Additionally, authorities shut down a dark store facility located in the Bengaluru rural district after discovering food items stored in unsanitary conditions.
