Karnataka: 300-year-old stepwell unearthed and renovated
In Karnataka's Belagavi district, a 300-year-old stepwell that was previously hidden beneath piles of trash and rubble has been brought back to life. This 80-foot-deep structure, thought to date back to the Adil Shahi dynasty era between the 15th and 17th centuries, was rehabilitated by the Pyaas Foundation, an organization based in Belagavi, with help from local community members and NSS volunteers.
