Kanpur man attacks woman with brick after marriage rejection, claims mother is retired IAS

A 38-year-old individual in Kanpur was taken into custody after he assaulted a woman with a brick and pulled her from a vehicle following her refusal of his marriage proposal. Bystanders intervened to save the woman and subdued the attacker, who subsequently boasted that his mother was a retired IAS officer. Footage showing local residents slapping the man has also emerged online.
