Kalyan court grants bail to Shiv Sena corporator arrested for hospital assault
A Kalyan court has released Shiv Sena corporator Ramesh Mhatre on bail, nearly a week after he was taken into custody for reportedly attacking medical staff at a hospital in Maharashtra. During the bail hearing, Mhatre argued that he held no ill will toward the doctor, claiming he was simply acting to assist the public in his role as an elected official. Mhatre had been placed in judicial custody earlier this past Monday.
