June retail inflation hits 4.38%: See which goods saw price hikes and drops
Retail inflation in India climbed to 4.38% during the month of June. The five categories experiencing the steepest price increases included silver jewellery at 133.21%, ginger at 50.41%, gold, diamond, and platinum jewellery at 36.82%, tomatoes at 31.92%, and raisins and monacca at 20.52%. Conversely, items that saw the most significant price declines were potatoes at -20.34%, peas at -9.67%, motor cars and jeeps at -6.89%, cumin at -3.75%, and motorcycles and scooters at -3.49%.
