July UPI transaction numbers stay under May's peak
Data from the NPCI shows that UPI handled 22,193 million transactions totaling ₹27.71 lakh crore during July 2026, up to the 28th. This volume is still lower than the all-time high of 23,201 million transactions seen in May. Daily averages for the platform reached 792 million transactions, amounting to ₹98,976 crore. When measured against June, the volume of transactions dropped by 2.3%, and the total value saw a 4.2% decrease.
