JUI-F's Fazlur Rehman targets Army Chief, references 1971 surrender

Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of the JUI-F, criticized Army Chief Asim Munir by bringing up Pakistan's loss to India in the 1971 conflict. He challenged the military's displays of strength while citizens struggle. He remarked, "In 1971, a day prior to surrendering, General Yahya Khan claimed they would battle in the streets, deserts, and fields. We heard those grand statements back then."
