J&K medical interns persist with hunger strike for stipend increase
Medical interns across Jammu and Kashmir have entered the second day of their hunger strike, pressing for their monthly stipend to be raised from ₹12,300 to ₹30,000. Students from two dental colleges and 10 government medical institutions are participating in the demonstration, noting that the pay rate has remained stagnant since 2018. They are calling for the administration to issue an official order to address their demands.
