J&K Governor: 5,000 hotels constructed in the valley in six years are unauthorized
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has stated that approximately 5,000 hotels constructed across the valley during the past six years lack legal approval. Sinha noted, "Between 2021 and mid-2024-25, more than 5,000 hotels were developed in the valley... It is a fact that 90% of these are illegal, with only 10% being legal... However, 5,000 were built." He further mentioned that this list includes the Radisson hotel owned by Mushtaq Chaya.
