Jharkhand teenager creates AI tool to stop human-elephant clashes
A 17-year-old student in Jharkhand has developed an affordable AI-based gadget designed to reduce encounters between humans and elephants. Named 'Innobox', this solar-operated unit is capable of identifying and keeping elephants and other wildlife away from agricultural fields and residential areas. The technology works by sensing seismic vibrations caused by elephant movement, offering an improvement over existing warning methods that use infrared sensors and often trigger inaccurate alerts.
