Japan pledges ₹1.1 lakh crore investment in India through 129 new deals
Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi revealed 129 new private-sector partnership agreements with India, backed by an investment exceeding ₹1.1 lakh crore (JPY 2 trillion). Takaichi noted that a growing list of Japanese firms are leveraging India as a hub to boost their presence in Africa. She further stated that the Free and Open Indo-Pacific strategy aims to broaden this approach to additional nations throughout the Global South.
