ISRO tightens resignation rules as over 100 scientists leave for private sector

According to a report by TOI, between 100 and 120 scientists from ISRO have either resigned or opted for voluntary retirement lately, with some of them involved in major projects like Gaganyaan. These exits are believed to be driven by new career prospects within India's expanding private space industry. Moving forward, the Department of Space will have the final authority to approve or reject resignation and voluntary retirement applications from Group 'A' technical and scientific staff.
